Kanchenjunga Expedition

Itinerary

Arrive at Suketar and begin the trek through scenic hills to reach Phurumbu.
Walk through lush forests and terraced fields beside the Tamor River to reach Chirwa.
Follow the Ghunsa River through dense vegetation and small settlements toward Sekarthum.
Cross suspension bridges and pass traditional villages en route to Amji-Lhasa.
Climb gradually through mixed forests and Buddhist prayer walls to reach Gyabla.
Enter the Tibetan-influenced village of Ghunsa, surrounded by mountain views.
Ascend through rhododendron and pine forests with views of Jannu and other peaks.
Acclimatization day with optional hikes to surrounding ridges for better altitude adaptation.
Trek past glacial moraines and remote terrain to reach Lonak.
Rest and prepare for the high-altitude trek to base camp.
Reach the base camp of Mt. Kangchenjunga with stunning views of its massive north face.

Establishment of Base Camp for the Climb
Begin trekking through small settlements and lush countryside to Sinam.
Continue through rural villages and follow a scenic trail along the river.
Ascend through terraced farmland and forest trails to reach Othemba.
Enter the deep valleys with views of remote Himalayan villages.
Walk alongside the Amji Khola river, passing through rhododendron forests.
Ascend steadily, experiencing greater altitude and alpine landscapes.
Trek deeper into the valley toward the heart of the southern Kangchenjunga region.
Reach the alpine zone with open vistas and glaciers nearing the base of the mountain.
Advance toward higher ground with spectacular views and glacier surroundings.
Trek through moraine fields with panoramic views of towering peaks.
Arrive at Kangchenjunga South Base Camp—expedition officially begins.
8000 M: This is a professionally led non-guided expedition for experienced mountaineers who want to work as part of a team to tackle the mountain. We say non-guided because our leader and climbing Sherpa team working with you will not be able to protect your every move. You must, therefore, have a broad base of mountaineering experience enabling you to be capable and willing to move between camps unassisted. you will have good support on the mountain from our leader and Sherpa team.
