Arun Valley Trek

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a briefing about the trek followed by a welcome dinner with your guide and fellow trekkers.
Today is free for you to explore the city or make any last-minute preparations for the trek. You can visit nearby cultural sites or shop for trekking gear in Thamel.
Take a scenic flight to Tumlingtar and begin the trek to Satighat. The trail follows the Arun River and passes through terraced farmlands and traditional villages.
A gradual ascent through lush forests and small settlements leads you to Dingla Bazaar, a small town with basic amenities.
Continue trekking through charming villages, enjoying views of verdant hills and distant peaks, before reaching Majuwa.
Today’s trail takes you to the base of Salpa Bhanjyang, known as Salpa Phedi. The walk involves several ups and downs through rhododendron and oak forests.
Ascend to Salpa Bhanjyang Pass and visit the sacred Salpa Pokhari (lake), then descend to Sanam, a picturesque Rai village.
Trek through forests and cultivated fields as you make your way to Bung, a culturally rich village inhabited by Rai and Sherpa communities.
Continue your journey through dense forest trails and charming hamlets to reach the quiet village of Gaikharka.
Trek through a mix of forested trails and ridges offering glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Arrive at Puiyan, a settlement on the main Everest trail.
Join the classic Everest Base Camp route and trek to Phakding, a popular stop for trekkers heading to Namche.
Follow the Dudh Koshi River and cross several suspension bridges before reaching the vibrant Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest.
Spend a day acclimatizing at Namche. You can take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel or visit the Sherpa Museum.
A short and scenic trek takes you to Khumjung, a traditional Sherpa village with its own monastery and Hillary School.
Trek through rhododendron forests to reach Tyengboche, home to the famous Tyengboche Monastery, with incredible views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
Descend to the Imja Khola and gradually ascend through alpine landscapes to reach Pheriche.
The trail climbs steadily through open valleys and past memorials for climbers before reaching Lobuche, located near the Khumbu Glacier.
A challenging but rewarding day. Hike to Kala Pattar for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks, then descend to Gorekshep for the night.
Retrace your steps and descend to Pheriche, enjoying easier walking and a drop in altitude.
Continue your descent through alpine meadows and forests to return to Tyengboche.
Walk back along the familiar trail, passing through Namche and heading down to Phakding.
Complete your trek with a final day of hiking back to Lukla, where you can rest and celebrate the end of your adventure.
Take a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Enjoy a relaxing day in Kathmandu. Optional activities include sightseeing, shopping, or a spa treatment.
You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey with fond memories of the Arun Valley and Everest region trek.
