Your adventure begins with a scenic 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival in Lukla, you’ll start your trek with a gentle descent through picturesque Sherpa villages and along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. This short and pleasant walk allows time for acclimatization and exploration.Overnight in Phakding.
Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Khumbu region. You'll cross several suspension bridges, pass through pine forests, and enter Sagarmatha National Park. The trail gradually ascends to the bustling Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar, with the first glimpses of Everest visible on a clear day.Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
A day for rest and acclimatization. Explore the vibrant town of Namche, visit the Sherpa Museum or hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic mountain views, including Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Proper acclimatization is essential for your safety and enjoyment of the trek.Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
After breakfast, begin your trek with a scenic trail offering incredible views of the Himalayas. The path descends to the Dudh Koshi River and then ascends through rhododendron forests to the spiritual heart of the region—Tengboche. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important in the region.Overnight in Tengboche.
Descend through the forested trail and then climb gradually to the beautiful village of Khumjung. Surrounded by dramatic peaks, Khumjung offers an authentic experience of Sherpa life and culture. You may visit the Khumjung Monastery, which houses a legendary “Yeti scalp.”Overnight in Khumjung.
Begin descending from Khumjung and retrace your steps past Namche and other small settlements. As the altitude decreases, enjoy the lush greenery and relaxed pace of the trail as you return to Phakding.Overnight in Phakding.
This final day of trekking takes you back to Lukla, where you can celebrate your journey with your guide and porters. Reflect on the incredible experiences and scenery before preparing for your flight the next day.Overnight in Lukla.
After breakfast, take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring the vibrant streets of Thamel.Overnight in Kathmandu.
