Mera Peak & Island Peak Climb

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly received at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Today is a preparation day. You’ll meet your guide, check climbing equipment, and get briefed about the journey ahead.
A scenic flight takes you to Phaplu, a quiet town in Solu region. Begin to experience the Himalayan environment.
Start your trek from Phaplu towards the small settlement of Gumti Pani, passing through terraced fields and rhododendron forests.
Continue trekking through remote villages, gradually gaining altitude as you reach Khordo.
Today’s trail winds through lush forests and alpine landscapes until you arrive at Juke village.
Spend a day in Juke to acclimatize to the increasing altitude and explore the local Sherpa lifestyle.
Ascend through scenic landscapes towards Najing, a less-traveled route offering raw mountain beauty.
Today’s trail takes you through remote valleys and sparsely inhabited areas as you reach Cholim.
Climb gradually through rhododendron and pine forests toward Kholakharka. You begin to feel the change in terrain and temperature.
Enter the Hinku Valley and arrive at Kothe, where you’ll notice the dramatic shift to alpine landscapes.
Follow the west bank of the Hinku River to Thagnak, a summer grazing area with beautiful views of Mera Peak.
The trail climbs steeply alongside the glacier moraine as you reach Khare, the base for Mera Peak.
Trek to Mera La Pass (5,400m) with breathtaking views of surrounding peaks. Set up camp before pushing to high camp.
Ascend to high camp situated at around 5,800m, with panoramic views of Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and other giants.
Early morning summit push to Mera Peak (6,476m) – the highest trekking peak in Nepal. After enjoying summit views, descend back to Khare.
Retrace your steps back through the Hinku Valley to Kothe for a well-deserved rest.
Continue descending through forests and traditional villages, reaching the settlement of Chetro.
Trek further along descending ridges to reach Chutanga, nearing Lukla.
Your final trekking day leads you to Lukla, where you can celebrate your successful climb with your team.
Enjoy a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel and relax.
A free day for shopping, rest, or optional sightseeing around the valley.
An extra day in case of delays due to weather or flights. If unused, enjoy more leisure time in Kathmandu.
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Farewell and safe travels!
