Shisapangma Expedition

Itinerary

We will meet you at the airport—look out for a sign with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest.
Take a well-deserved rest after your flight. Later, join the group meeting where we’ll complete the expedition paperwork and provide detailed briefings.
We sort out both personal and group gear at the hotel. All group equipment will be packed and transported to HighHimal.com’s storage area for easy loading onto the truck.
A free day for personal errands, last-minute shopping, and mental preparation for the expedition.
Travel by bus or jeep from Kathmandu to the Friendship Bridge (Nepal–Tibet border). After crossing the border, we transfer to Chinese Land Cruisers and drive to Zhangmu. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Continue the scenic drive to Nyalam. Spend two nights here to acclimatize, including a short hike to help adjust to the altitude. Overnight at a hotel.
Arrive at Base Camp and spend several days acclimatizing and preparing gear for load carries. If you're feeling strong, optional hikes or light carries can begin.
With the help of yaks, we move all gear and supplies to Advanced Base Camp. Settle in and start preparation for higher camps.
Over these days, we establish Advanced Base Camp and Camp 1. Team members begin carrying loads to Camps 1, 2, and 3. If all goes well, we’ll spend a few nights at Camp 1 and possibly climb higher for acclimatization. Then we return to ABC to rest. The expedition leader, in close coordination with team members and high-altitude porters, will manage day-to-day logistics and safety. Multiple strategies for the summit bid will be discussed in detail at Base Camp and ABC, based on team readiness and weather. The core plan involves multiple rotations reaching up to ~7000m for acclimatization. Proper logistical preparation is essential to stock each high camp with supplies. Once everything is in place, we’ll monitor weather windows and prepare for the final summit push, which often requires patience and flexibility.
